Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of UAE roads and proven experience in delivery services such as courier, meal plan delivery, or related sectors. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting delivery schedules while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
Safely load, transport, and unload goods, ensuring packages are not damaged.
Use navigation systems (Google Maps, GIS, etc.) to plan and optimize delivery routes according to time windows, package type (e.g., meal plans), and delivery priorities.
Communicate clearly and effectively in English when interacting with customers and team members.
Follow company protocols for delivery and package handling.
Maintain delivery logs and submit required paperwork accurately and on time.
Support team efficiency by assisting other drivers or covering additional routes or shifts, as directed by supervisors.
Follow instructions and tasks assigned by supervisors within working hours.
Ensure vehicle is kept clean and in good working condition.
Report any vehicle issues immediately to the fleet team to prevent further damage or breakdown.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of UAE-based driving experience, preferably in courier, food delivery, or similar services.
Valid UAE Driving License.
Deep knowledge of UAE streets, neighbourhoods, and road systems.
Ability to read maps and utilize navigation tools effectively.
Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Physically fit and able to lift and carry packages during loading and unloading
Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
Basic English literacy – able to read delivery instructions and communicate when needed.
Working Conditions:
May be required to work variable shifts and cover different emirates as needed.
Expected to assist colleagues or cover extra deliveries during working hours upon supervisor request.
